A Little History: Cheshire Software Solutions LLC was founded in the spring of 2005 by three IT professionals with over 60 years of combined experience developing, deploying, operating, and maintaining small to medium information systems. We have designed and installed large computer networks, managed large, complex software development projects, built PCs, and just about any other computer or communications-related work. Throughout all of these experiences we discovered most IT shops have few affordable, quality tools to increase their productivity. The company founders set out to develop and market IT products to address this shortfall.
The "Premise": IT professionals need affordable, high quality tools that work reliably day in and day out, 365 days a year. This obvious statement led us to develop our first set of IT tools: Domain Blocker and a remote access tool called CAT - that's short for Computer Assistance Tool. More tools are in the development cycle.

Headquarters: Located in beautiful Hampton Roads Virginia, our company headquarters is located in Newport News, Virginia. We have client and vendor relationships with companies throughout the mid-atlantic.
Management Team
The management team of Brad Gough, Wayne Hedrick, and Bill Valvo is responsible for successfully developing and selling our IT products. They share marketing and sales duties as part of their efforts to grow the business.
Brad Gough is responsible for the development of all our software products. The Computer Assistance Tool (CAT) is the direct result of Brad's development philosophy: make it better, faster, more reliable, and easy to use.
Wayne Hedrick is responsible for a wide range of management and technical tasks; everything from aiding in the system architecture, to testing, documentation, and help desk support. Wayne has over 20 years of hands on experience in the IT field and is a Microsoft Certified Professional.
Bill Valvo, like Wayne, has a broad range of responsibilities towards running the business. Bill manages the web development efforts and has overall responsibility for quality assurance and configuration management for all of the companies products. Bill has over 20 years experience in the IT field, is an MCP, and is one of the first 1,000 Microsoft certified Small Business Specialists.
Affiliations
We are closely affiliated with two companies that are owned by Cheshire Solutions' owners.
- ValcomTech, a VALCOM and Associates company, specializes in web design & development and is owned by Bill Valvo and his lovely wife Pat.
- JK Technologies LLC, owned by Wayne Hedrick, provides IT services and consultation to the small to medium-sized business market.
This affiliate relationship provides Cheshire Solutions with ready and complete access to the resources of relevant IT services needed to conduct the business of Cheshire Solutions. These associate companies provide 1st class service and we highly recommend them.
